The meeting of the organizing committee of the Dokuchaev’s readings was on October 6, 2020.

The name of the XXIV Dokuchaev’s readings have been approved. The name of the conference of this year «Soil Science in the Digital Society», devoted to the 175th anniversary of V.V. Dokuchaev

Several scenarios for the 24th conference are proposed:
1. Full time conference
2. Online conference
3. Full time conference with limited number of participants
4. Extramural conference

It was proposed to include the following events in the conference program: excursions «In the places of V.V. Dokuchaev» and «V.V. Dokuchaev – the founder of soil science», exhibition «To the 175th anniversary of V.V. Dokuchaev»

It was decided to make the international status of the conference.

The possibility of applying for a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for non-profit organizations has been discussed.

A question about the approval of the thesis of the conference has been discussed. It was decided to approve the thesis after revision.

In connection with the 175th anniversary of V.V. Dokuchaev, it was decided to introduce on the website of the Central Museum of Soil Science a new rubric dedicated to V.V. Dokuchaev.
